CORE GUARDIANS IS BACK AFTER 1 YEAR!


v0.4h is here to introduce new mechanics

and two new playable Guardians,

Soothsayer and Paragon

- The End and The Beginning -



Change Logs:

A lot has changed in this version

as we are prepping up to go Beta

on version 0.5!

Here's the last version of 0.4!

- Special Weapon REMOVED.

- Rage REMOVED. (A staple mechanic, RIP.)

- UTILITIES now added to the game.

Utility is a mechanic action for player to

use when it becomes available every 15

seconds of the game. Players have two

options to use it for.

* Option A:   Special Attack

Also known as SUPER or SP, is a launcher

attack that deals vital damage to your 

enemy upon hit. Essentially, the core

replacement for Special Weapon but now,

each  Guardian has a unique SP. The

launcher type, as well as how the damage

scale, both vary by the Guardian in play.

* Option B:   Teleportation (Overhauled)

No longer a move that requires Stamina. 

Instead now a utility that still pretty much

does the same. Resets your position and

heals.

- Overcast REWORKED.

No longer amplifies Jumpshot or Teleport.

Instead, it's a feature that gains charges

when you use abilities that eventually

give exp. When the charges reach the

threshold, Overcast activates, resetting

the charges while giving hp regen, energy,

and even more exp.

- Arc ADDED.


Arc is basically the replacement for Rage

but simplified. You still get tubes, now

called Arc tubes, on the bottom of the

zone every 15 attacks. Picking either

of them increases your Arc. The Arc

tubes are either Fury tubes or Tenacity

tubes. Your Arc points empower your

Fury or Tenacity but that depends on

which tube you recently picked up.

The scaling switches when you

switch tubes. Picking up the same

tube over and over keeps empowering

that specific stat (Fury / Tenacity) by

scaling with your Arc points. Fury and

Tenacity still has a cap despite this 

change but your damage resistance

from Bullet and Glow now both

scales by picking up either tubes.

Old Rage mechanics like giving

Energy, hp regen, or empowering

your abilities still work but now,

they're under Arc's features.

- Advance moves REMOVED.

Since Teleportation is now a utility

and Overcast was reworked. The

concept for Advance moves is

now removed. Jumpshot still works

the same on its own but Powershot

also now requires stamina to use

only by 1 point.

- LOTS AND LOTS of Guardians

that got reworked, overhauled,

nerfed, buffed, and rescaled.

Review description to see crucial

changes.

- Glyphs are IMPROVED.

- Visuals and UI's are improved.

Boris and his tips are removed 

from the menu. Date and Time

is also removed from the menu.

"Powered by Neal" lore-bit text

around the menus is also removed.

(Will instead use this in the future

for story modes.)

- CORES now give 1 point to the

two other stats outside the main

stat you get from your choice.

I.E: Picking up Red Core gives

3 Atk points, same as before,

but now also gives 1 point to

Endurance and Wisdom.

- Added G50 Soothsayer.

- Added G51 Paragon.

- Take note that this major update 

includes important changes that

solidifies the future of Core

Guardians. This is now the

pinnacle standard of the game as

we enter the dawning 0.5 version.

Upcoming updates will now focus

on adding new special features

that are not gameplay or combat

related (i.e. story mode, shops?),

new Guardians playable, and new

AI enemies to surprise you in

Arcade.

But that's for the future. In the 

meantime, enjoy that last pre-beta

version as this shapes, at its final

core, what Core Guardian

gameplay really looks like.
