Core Guardians VERSION 0.2B! It's all different NOW!
I would like to introduce a new Guardian called Berserker!
The first Guardian that has the ability to teleport to your opponent's floor and wreak havoc in melee attacks!!!
Version 0.2b has a lot of good changes that changed the game of Core Guardians and it's huge!
1.) Armor Core, Armor, and all Armor-related mechanics are removed!!!
2.) Fury REWORKED (again) - Fury is no longer a stat and it's a stand-alone mechanic where it functions
with a meter that now grows each time your Guardian hits your enemy with non-abilities projectiles;
bullets, Powershots, and Jumpshots, each refunding a small portion of hp regen percentage. The meter is also no long hidden,
it's visible in the UI above your abilities, orange meter. When filled, it's consumed and refunds your Guardian's health a portion
of your max health plus missing health. Keeping Guardians alive for a bit more time as they fight.
3.) MAJOR: Toxic Gas Reworked - Toxic Gas is no longer active in the beginning of the match, unless if from a Guardian's ability.
Instead, after 5 minutes of the match, it activates. Tearing HP of both players faster than previous patches and gets stronger per
minute. 10-minute mark still spawns Toxic lasers like previous patches.
4.) MAJOR: Core Pick-ups Reworked - Introducing: Core Multiplier.
Previous Patch:
When leveling up without picking up a core from the previous ones that have spawned,
you will retain those cores and get a bonus of 1 point to all stats instead.
This Patch:
When leveling up without picking up a core from the previous ones that have spawned
adds 1x multiplier, UI visible besides the cores that you're not picking up yet.
When you finally pick up a core, gain 3 points of specific stat that this
core provides times the amount of multipliers you earned.
NOTE: Guardians like Assault and Tracker still relatively gain their passive bonus by the moment you
pick up a core. So it's still advised to pick up cores per spawn, ignore the new multiplier mechanic,
if you wish to religiously get their bonuses. (Except Mercenary though, his passive is reworked to
compliment this update because he's supposed to be a beginner friendly Guardian and a mechanic
this complex should be learned by later for players who started advancing to the game.)
- It takes now 8 exp to level up and level cap is now 30.
5.) Items are improved but now spawn alternately with chips. First 20 seconds spawns items,
next 20 spawns chips, then items, then chips, then items, etc. You get the point.
Chips now gives lesser resistance points (4 for bullet and 12 for glow) but only because they
spawn faster now. Max pick ups is 10 now which makes it 40 Bullet resistance and 120 Glow
resistance if you consistently pick up one type of chip. Items still spawn the same when chip pick ups
are maxed. Meaning, items spawn, then the next 20 seconds, nothing spawns because resistance
is maxed, then next 20, items again, then next, nothing spawns still, then items, you get the idea.
6.) Rage Tubes now takes 15 attacks to spawn. It now adds 2 Rage for positive pick up, and subtracts
2 Rage for negative pick up. Energy bonus and hp refunds applied from these picks ups are the same.
7.) One of the HP regen is replaced from being a Core pick up to each time Fury procs. Guardians
that have Perks of getting extra HP regen from core pick ups are changed to Fury procs.
8.) Guardians changes, some are rescaled, nerfed, and buffed. As for now, Core Guardians is relatively
not a popular game yet with a small community so no need to list yet the changes one by one detailed.
When the game gets bigger, I will start doing so.
MESSAGE: Since the game got so much changes in these updates, I will change the screenshots in the page soon
because the UI was affected by the patch (Armor being removed, etc.). However, my friend who helps me with
making these screenshots is currently unavailable.
9.) Berserker is added as the 32nd playable Guardian.
Update version 0.2b! Big changes, surely improved the game! Tell your friends about it and play CG now!
